Welcome to 8 Balls 3D Pool! In this game, you will experience the most realistic feeling of shooting billiards when the game uses vivid 3D graphics.

Rules of 8 Balls 3D Pool

At the beginning of the game, the game will provide 15 target balls neatly arranged at the end of the table in a triangle. The white ball is called the cue ball, it is placed in an arbitrary position in the area called the head string. There are two groups of balls in the game, to be able to classify which group of balls belongs to you and your opponent, the first player will make an opening shot by using the cue stick to hit the cue ball to break the ball formation. The group of balls that fall into the hole will belong to the group of balls of the starter.

Rules after the opening shot:

  • If no target balls fall into the hole, the turn will pass to the opponent.
  • If more than one ball falls into the hole and the number of balls in the group of balls is more slippery, the starter will play the slippery ball group and vice versa.
  • If both the solid and striped balls are pocketed, the table is considered "open", and the next player can choose to play the solid or striped group by hitting a ball from that group.
  • If the 8-ball is pocketed on the break, the game is over and the breaker loses immediately.

Turn:

  • After the break, players take turns taking shots.
  • On their turn, the player must attempt to hit a ball from their group (solid or striped) into a selected pocket.
  • The player will adjust the direction and power of the shot using on-screen gestures (usually swiping and dragging). Some games may allow additional adjustment of the spin of the ball.
  • After aiming, the player will take a shot by releasing his or her finger or pressing a button.
  • If a player legally hits a ball from their group (without fouling), they continue their turn.

The turn passes to the opponent if:

  • The player fails to hit any target balls.
  • The player commits a foul.

Amazing 3D Graphics

3D Environment

  • Unlike regular 2D billiard games like Super Pops Billiard, in this game, players will experience the 3D feeling from every angle, just like in real life. The game is fully modeled with thick table edges, rounded corners, and felt surfaces that are detailed in color and can have small patterns. You can observe the billiard table from many different angles, creating the feeling of looking at a real table.
  • The balls in the game are designed as sharp 3D spheres, giving players the most realistic playing feeling. They are glossy, reflect light naturally, and can have small scratches on the surface, increasing realism. The numbers and stripes on the ball are displayed clearly and sharply.
  • The cue is also 3D modeled, with the cue head, cue body, and handle having different shapes and materials depending on the type of cue. As you move the cue stick to aim, you will see it move smoothly in 3D space.

Shadow Effect

The balls and cue sticks will cast shadows on the pool table and surrounding objects. The shape and shade of the ball change according to the position of the light source and the object, helping players feel the depth and relative position of objects in 3D space.

Physics Simulation

When you hit the balls, you will see them roll, collide, and bounce naturally thanks to the 3D physics engine. The speed, direction, and spin of the ball are calculated based on the force of the hit and the point of contact of the cue stick. The collisions between the balls with each other and with the table are simulated accurately. You will see the balls bounce at reasonable angles and can create complex collision effects.
